a guide to

arriving in your fullest light

I believe in the power of presence. This guide is your invitation to begin the ritual of being seen. It is designed to quiet the 'noise' of preparation so that when you walk through my studio doors, you can simply be.

Revisit this guide as often as you need; it serves as the sacred bridge between your intention and your arrival—the path from dreaming to actualizing your radiant truth.

DREAMING INTO THE VISION

I want to capture the version of you that feels most authentic. If you find it helpful to visualize, I invite you to create a private Pinterest board titled 'Your Name + Nika Vrai.' Fill it with images, textures, and moods that make your heart beat a little faster. Don't overthink the 'how'—simply pin what resonates with your soul. You can find a wellspring of inspiration on my own boards here: Nika Vrai’s Pinterest

Once you’ve gathered your inspiration, please invite me as a collaborator. This acts as our visual compass, allowing me to see the world through your eyes and ensuring we are aligned as we walk the path toward your session.

HONORING THE VESSEL

Your body is the temple for this experience. In the days leading up to our session, treat it with extra gentleness.

Liquid Light: Hydrate deeply. Think of water as the fuel for your skin’s natural glow. Aim for extra hydration at least 72 hours before your session.

The Softness Ritual: Moisturize like a goddess twice daily with a clear, nourishing oil or lotion; Argan or Coconut oil works wonders.

A Gentle Smile: Dry lips can be a distraction in the light. A few nights before, gently exfoliate your lips with a soft toothbrush and follow with a rich balm.

Polished Presence: Whether you choose a bold statement or a quiet neutral, your nail color should be a true reflection of you. Simply ensure they are clean and freshly applied; chipped polish can break the seamless, intentional flow of an image.

The Golden Rule: Please avoid spray tans, tinted lotions, or new skin treatments. These can create uneven tones and unwanted blemishes that the camera sees, even if you don't. I want to capture the true, radiant story of your skin exactly as it is.

DRESSING

THE ESSENCE

Wardrobe is the "costume" for your soul’s expression—but it is never more important than you.

The Love Test: If you don't love how it feels on your body, leave it at home. If you don't feel amazing in a piece, it will show in your breath. Choose what makes you shine.

Think Texture & Form: Look for pieces that play with the light. Think of the contrast between a structured leather jacket and soft skin, or the way a chunky knit feels against a silk slip. Solid colors and form-fitting silhouettes that honor your figure are always winners.

The Purest Form: Nudity is never a requirement, but it is always an invitation. My work spans the spectrum from the soft mystery of implied nudity to the intentional beauty of fine art nudes. You are invited to undress to your own level of comfort; we move only as far as you feel safe and celebrated.

PALETTE OF INSPIRATION

To help you gather your 4–5 options, consider choosing pieces from these different "energies" from the list below.

The Intimacy of Home: An oversized chunky sweater, that must have t-shirt, a cozy lounge set, or your favorite yoga wear.

Structured Strength: A power suit or blazer, a leather or denim jacket, and your favorite well-worn jeans.

The Classic Vessel: A crisp white button-down, a simple tank or bodysuit, a flowy skirt, or a dress with a neckline you love.

Radiant Intimacy: Lingerie, matching bra and panty sets (black and nude are essentials), or even just a delicate lace robe.

The Finishes: Most of my clients choose to be barefoot to stay grounded, but feel free to bring a pair of heels or boots if they make you feel powerful. Don’t forget the jewelry you wear every day—those small pieces are part of your "signature."

Confidence is the best garment you can wear!

LOGISTICS  OF EASE

To ensure you feel grounded and your skin looks its most radiant, please follow these practical rhythms as you prepare to enter the studio.

The Eve of the Session: Prioritize rest. A full night’s sleep is the best "glow" product available. I also suggest that you avoid overindulging the night before—whether in food, sensory-altering elements, or late hours—so that your energy is steady and your skin is at its most luminous when you arrive.

Vitality & Flow: Our time together is an active, energetic experience. Please enjoy a nourishing, sustaining meal before you arrive and engage in some light stretching or gentle movement. Having a body that feels awake, fed, and fluid allows you to move with much more presence and ease in front of the lens.

The Graceful Transition: Please wear loose-fitting clothing and a button-down shirt to the studio. This ensures your skin remains free of elastic marks (which can take quite a while to fade) and allows you to transition into your first look without disturbing your hair or makeup.

The Soft Landing: Plan to arrive about 20 minutes before our scheduled start time. This is a gift to yourself—a moment to park, breathe, and simply "land" in the space. It ensures you aren't rushing into the light, but rather walking into it with a settled heart.

STEPPING INTO THE SANCTUARY

When you step into the studio, take a deep breath, knowing you have done all the work; now, you only have to receive.

You’ll be greeted with soft music, your choice of nourishment, and a safe space to begin your transformation. Together we will look through your 'Palette of Inspiration,' and curate our first look together.

I have your questionnaire tucked in my heart, and I am already holding space for your story—the parts of you that you love and the parts that feel tender. You do not need to be "photogenic," nor do you need to have a single pose memorized. It is my life’s work to guide your movement, find your light, and be your mirror.

Remember: The 'inner critic' is not invited into this sanctuary. This day is about the honesty of your light and the beauty of your presence. I cannot wait to see you, exactly as you are.
